Hello.
This is the usual girl-me looking towards that big day. The flowers, the surprise, the cries.
I am sure that I am not the only one who dreams of this big day. I am sure you would have heard all those stories about not dwelling on the wedding alone, about planning well for the future.
Yes, I have heard that part. "Be the good girl... the good daughter in law... the good wife." Bla bla bla...
We have all heard all those stories and more.
I mean, the society has told us what we need to do. I am not even allowed to enjoy the big day. Now, any slight thing they say, "the marriage is more important than the wedding".
Of course I know!
"Let me enjoy this relationship first", I tell them.
To plan and live for the future is all good. But my little advice is don't forget to live now.
Do what pleases God. God wants you to have a perfect life, a perfect relationship, a perfect marriage, perfect kids but he will never deny you of your present.
There is a reason why he was, he is and is to come. Your past, present and future are all EQUALLY important.
Sure, we speak of marriage a lot and we all know it is not something to rush into. But what about THE NOW. Every one seems to focus on the future and leave the present. I mean, your tommorow is dependent on today.
Even though we are waiting for the coming of Jesus Christ, he still gifted us the Holy Spirit for now.
I am not saying you should do things that you will regret in future, I am just saying being who your father wants you to be now is veryyyy important.
Live your life. Enjoy your single life if not married, enjoy your marriage life if married. Sometimes, we think more about the future and get alienated from the present.
Sis, your future is going to be wonderful. Take your today step by step with God and enjoy it.
