Waking up this morning was a struggle. Okay. Maybe struggle is a big word. Let's just say I didn't want to go out into that bone cracking, jaw Shifting, teeth shattering cold and I'm not exaggerating. It was sooo cold and my body felt vulnerable to its possible consequences. 

The serious cold notwithstanding, I had meetings to attend to and people to talk to. I only had to take preventive measures to guide myself from catching a cold. Although, I couldn't get hot water, I ensured I was properly dressed for the weather. That's one way to protect my health.

Well, OLUWATOMISIN, our follow-up doctor has some helpful tips to share with us as regards our health, today. Enjoy! 😉

Health is wealth. Protect your health. I’m amazed by how well we know this yet are still unable to take the necessary preventive measures we need to take to protect our health. A lot of us, despite the fact that we are aware of the basic things that keep us away from the hospital, still fail to do them.

This is just a reminder of the basic things we know. I’m your follow-up doctor here to remind you of the things you must do to stay healthy and also share some new tips with you.

Here are some things you need to do often in order to stay away from the hospital.


KEEP YOURSELF HYDRATED: 



You’ve heard this more times than you can count. I know. Yet I know it works like magic also. Always drink water. 8 cups is what is recommended but you could make it more than that. Note that drinking water should not be done only at times when you're thirsty. You should drink water. You could even download apps on your phone to keep check on your water intake. When you take water regularly you would see a drastic change in your health. If you're someone who suffers from constant headaches, Water is the cure. Take a lot of water and you would be surprised by how less you wrinkle your face.


TAKE A LOT OF FRUITS: 


At this point, you're wondering already is this doctor going to say something different from what I know? Well like I told you, I'm here to remind you of what you know and also give you new tips. So fruits ; there is no way out of this, you just have to eat them. Fruits help to build your immune system so you don't fall sick often and it also helps to make your skin glow, look good. If you eat lot of fruits, you can say goodbye to skin problem. Taking a lot of fruit is the best way you can be prepared to always fight sickness.


REST: 



You have to do this. Take a break. Take a deep breath and give yourself time away from your busy schedule. It doesn't sound realistic but you have to do it. Just close your eyes for few hours and you don't have to be worried about closing your eyes for weeks in the hospital. 

Following this tips intentionally would prevent you from major sickness. If you take a lot of water, you don't have to be worried about kidney stones, malaria, appendicitis to name a few. Resting an taking lots of fruit would protect your skin and help you get rid of migraine. Not following this tips could cost your life. It could make you pay more than you should. 

If you rest well, eat fruits, take a lot of water and follow the million health tips that we have you're on your way to better living. You would be found prepared when sickness comes knocking. Health is WEALTH. Protect your HEALTH. Don't forget to maintain social distancing also. Sneeze in your flexed elbows. Sanitize your hands properly.
