Walking in Purpose

In life, there are certain discoveries that will have a huge influence on your existence. One of such discoveries is discovering your purpose. 

Also, there are certain decisions you can make but purpose is not one of them. You can decide your career path. You can decide your goals or achievements at every stage of life. You can decide what fashion sense to adopt. You can not decide your purpose.

Purpose is not decided. It is discovered.

 

Have you ever seen a product that determines its own enduse? Can the clay tell the potter what the potter will make it into or what purpose it will serve? The answer is a resounding, capital-lettered NO.

The thing is: the maker, manufacturer, producer, potter, artist or Creator, name it, decides to what end a product is used. And that is the purpose of that product - the reason why it was made in the first place.

You want to walk in purpose? You want to discover your purpose? The first question is, who is your maker?

For someone who recognises their maker as God. God has to make you see why he chose to create you. That's your purpose. When you discover it, you can not go wrong if you walk in it. 

The reason for molding clay is embedded in the properties given to that particular object. You have talents and skills that seem come to you naturally. Your purpose cannot be farfetched. However, it must be linked with the general purpose of God creating anything at all - all things are for His pleasure.

When your specific individual purpose is linked with God's general purpose for mankind, you have a mission statement, a roadmap, for your life.
