WANTED!!!

I have a piece of advice for you: Watch your back, you may be wanted!

Maybe the right question now is, why are you wanted? And, who wants you?

Criminals who escape prosecution for cases such as rape, murder or other related crimes from one country to another are typically referred to as wanted persons. They are wanted to fulfil the consequences of their actions. Their pictures and names are pasted everywhere, on the walls of streets, on stalls in market places, on packed cars, taped to poles.

And they may become the talk of the town, depending on the gravity of their vices.

However, wanted persons are not immune to being found and arrested, regardless of how wide the universe is or how far they choose to run. There is a chance of initiating an international search called Red Notice. This is initiated to locate and provisionally arrest the criminal pending any further legal actions.

For the purpose of this search, the country where the crime was carried out will provide quality information on the wanted person such as their age, name, physical appearance details and also the details of the crime.

Red Notice is not an arrest warrant. It is only an international notice for a wanted person.

Personally, this understanding is enough to make me cringe and avoid misbehaving or thinking of committing any crime. Why risk it? I'll rather just stay in my shell, bolt my doors and not go against the law.

But the sad, heartbreaking truth is that we were all born wanted men.

"We all like sheep have gone astray, each one has turned to his own way; and the LORD has laid upon Him the iniquity of us all..." - Isaiah 53:6

The sweet truth is, now, we are wanted for forgiveness, not for persecution. We are wanted by a love that has gone ahead of time, not to fulfil the consequences of our actions.

The love of God covers all. Every lie told, every single word of deceit, every wayward lifestyle, every dirt and emptiness is to be replaced by the response of God's love.

God's search warrant is Jesus. Wherever He is, there is a notice for forgiveness, a notice for cleansing and newness. The presence of Jesus is not an arrest warrant. He doesn't coerce the wanted. He wants the wanted to come, even as He has chosen to come.

His death and resurrection is the good news. His life is the new life. He wants you, not in the fearful way, but in the most loving way possible.

Will you keep running? Or wait and catch your breath for some seconds, while you let Him want you the way no one would?

And maybe you don't have to watch your back any longer, the one who wants you watches it on your behalf.

"And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it." - 2 John 1:6

Love,

Have a great week!
