E NO CHOKE

Christ in me is the hope of glory. And hope, it is said, makes a man not ashamed.

One morning, Taiwo thought to herself as she got dressed for work that this life was not worth it. "How can it be worth it when everything I've been doing is live from hand to mouth? What's the point really?" She thought out loud.

Her room mate of twenty-five years and twin, Kehinde, heard her and asked, "Taiwo, what's the issue?"

Taiwo turned around and threw her arms in the air. "This life does not make any sense!"

"That's because you are trying to use your brain, babe. In this realm, we use our faith." Kehinde answered, as she also tried to put on her dress.

"That's what you always say! Are you not bothered?" Taiwo asked incredulously.

Taken aback, Kehinde asked, "Bother about what?"

"Bothered that this life is not worth the stress. And that we should have been long past this stage of life. We're just trying to make ends meet and dad is still sick. Mum has left us since we were kids. If only she was still here, things may not be this bad. But you are always smiling and happy. What's the point when all we're faced with are problems?"

"Why are you trying so hard?" Kehinde questioned, her facial expression and tone, now serious than before.

"I am only trying to be real."

"No you are not. You are trying to control what you can not. Why?"

Sighing, Taiwo takes her seat on the bed. "I am just tired of everything."

"You are tired because you are running an endless race. Just rest and take your seat with me in Christ." Kehinde said, lowering herself to the bed beside Taiwo. 

She continued speaking, "Rest in the assurances that God is carrying you through this full river. It keeps raining and the river keeps getting filling but hey, if you stop struggling and let God carry you, you won't sink. And as for why life is this way? Can you handle it on your own?"

Taiwo shook her head in the negative.

"Exactly. Allow the one who can handle it do so. Life is sweet when you rest."

In Kehinde's words, faith is what we use in this realm, because our brains are limited to what we see and experience. It is limited by the expressions of others and our knowledge is informed by what we hear, feel, see and touch. There is so much more than that. There's only so little we can come into when we use our brains, as compared to so much we can achieve when faith is the driver.

Anyone who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of them who diligently seek him.

I bring to you good tidings of perpetual oxygen that can only be found in Christ even when earth is heating up and air seems lost. 

Life's package comes with turbulence and chaos, but e no go choke if you are seated in Christ in heavenly places. This is the constant abode of saints, regardless of their physical location, with so much breathing space. And because my breathing space is in God, e no go choke.

Life is not usually fair. But God is. We may be faced with unfair situations and the timelines may seem overwhelming. But it's not getting the better of you; you are not sinking. 

Help is here, right when you need it. Just come sit with Christ in heavenly places, and you no go choke.
