COME HOLDING NOTHING

She had held her palms in fists for a long time, afraid to let go of whatever had entered in. 

Sharp edges of broken pieces had injured their previous openness. For her, trust was no more in the dictionary, not to talk of her diary. She stopped relating with such words. Not her. Never would she trust anymore.

A little down the lane, her fists couldn't receive. Nothing would come out. Nothing would go in. She was helpless and shut-in. 

Just like everyone else who would find themselves here, she met Him. 

He was bloody and beautiful. 

"Welcome to the way of the cross. I came here before you so you wouldn't bare these pains again. Come near", He said.

Like a damsel under an influence, her senses opened. Her heart broke. Her tears rushed. Yet, her fists tightened.

His eyes, those beautiful but pain-filled eyes, they stared at her with full accurate compassion. They burned with passion for her return to HIM. HE had suffered for her. 

She stepped close. And HE waited and waited until she released herself to His help.

Suddenly, hands opened wide, empty and bare, she drew closer. He waited.

Just like a damsel in distress you may be, HE is waiting for you to 'come near'.

You may be battered by their words and actions, indecisions or inactions. He is waiting for you to come near, holding nothing. Not your weird beliefs or experiences. Not your wild thoughts or imaginations. Not even your negative expectations.

Listen to His words of comfort and peace. They come bearing your healing and freedom. They come bringing you faith and wisdom for the times.

Learn of CHRIST today. And just as the Holy Spirit reminded me some nights ago, "His Word is true and stable but your feelings are fickle."
